It’s official – the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy is back on track – this is after the franchise director James Gunn was rehired to direct it. He had been fired by Disney, over ten year old tweets that joked on rape and abuse.
His reinstatement came after cast members from the series signed a letter calling for his Gunn's return.
In a tweet he thanked Disney and his supporters and said he is "excited to continue making films that investigate the ties of love that bind us all".
Stars who included Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista had all supported his return.
The entire Guardians series has grossed over 1.6 billion since inception.Gossip
